Summer Fun

Just back from the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. What a great place to relax, hear some great music, and get some new ideas to bring home to the old bass. Lots of interesting music happening in the world... Other happenings: lots of music to learn/relearn, Seven Hills Symphony has many new things happening this year (more info on that website soon), working on some alternate instrumentations to use with my high school kids (dvorak 9 4th mvmt using the original string and ww parts but changing the brass complement to 2 hrn, 2 tpt, 3 trombone, and tuba), and the smartmusic experiment continues this year with hopefully more organization on my part. :)
